  • Episodes: 12
  • Main cast: Han Ji-min, Lee Joon-hyuk, Kim Do-hoon, and Kim Yoo-hye
  • Where have I seen these people before? The wonderful Han Ji-min has led several dramas, including tvN’s Familiar Wife, jTBC’s The Light in Your Eyes, and MBC’s One Spring Night. Most recently, she led jTBC’s Behind Your Touch. Lee Joon-hyuk is rarely seen in a romantic drama but you might remember him in tvN’s A Poem a Day. I’m sure you remember him in tvN’s Stranger, which led to the recent TVING spin-off, Dong-jae, the Good or the Bastard. Kim Do-hoon was recently seen in ENA/Genie TV’s Your Honour while Kim Yoo-hye was part of the main cast of tvN’s Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born.
  • Writer: Kim Ji-eun (from MBC’s Wonderful World)
  • Director: Ham Joon-ho (from SBS’s My Strange Hero)

Kang Ji-yun (Han Ji-min) is the successful CEO of a headhunting company. Even though she’s extremely competent at work, she’s terrible at daily chores. That’s why her secretary Yoo Eun-ho (Lee Joon-hyuk) not only manages her work appointments but also her everyday responsibilities. Eun-ho is a single father who, unlike Ji-yun, is always considerate and attentive.

The lovely Gong Hyo-jin was last seen in KBS2’s When the Camellia Blooms in 2019 while we’ve just talked about Oh Jung-se in Netflix’s Mr. Plankton. When Prince Jeongan isn’t chosen as his father’s successor to the throne, Lady Min becomes a kingmaker to transform Bang-won into King Taejong. They succeed, creating a new regime. • Writer: Lee Seo-yoon (from MBCโ€™s 365: Repeat the Year)

Ji Kang-hee (Lee Se-young)’s father ran the Motel California, a small inn in their countryside village. As an adult, Kang-hee doesn’t remember fondly her childhood but often thinks back on her first love and childhood friend Chun Yeon-soo (Na In-woo).

Meanwhile, Yeon-soo grew up to become the village’s veterinarian. As he’s only ever loved Kang-hee, he isn’t interested in romance but the village farmers are constantly trying to set him up with their daughters. To make that stop, Yeon-soo spreads a rumour that he’ll marry a fellow vet. That’s when Kang-hee returns to their hometown and the two childhood sweethearts reunite.

A few months ago, a beautiful human being on YouTube asked me to review Lemino & WOWOW's Stove League, a Japanese remake of SBS's award-winning Hot Stove League. It took me a while to get to it, but I always keep my promises! ๐Ÿ˜†
So this week, we're talking about Stove League on The Blossom Review ๐ŸŒธ and YouTube! Oh, and over on Substack, we reviewed Tsutsumi Yukihiko's The Hotel of My Dream, too! Remember that you can find all our links in our bio ๐Ÿ˜‰

Have you heard of NHK's My Family? This is a 2023 Japanese drama that came to Netflix a few months ago -- a series so unique, so special, and so beautifully done that I struggled to find the right words to review it.
But I did try anyway, and our complete review of My Family (aka "Kazoku Dakara Aishitan Janakute, Aishita no ga Kazoku Datta") is coming to The Blossom Review ๐ŸŒธ and YouTube tomorrow! ๐Ÿ˜‰
Over on Substack this week, I shared a very grumpy review of Abema's The Vacation Principle ๐Ÿ˜… Oh well, it happens. You can find all links in our bio!

Hello there! ๐Ÿ‘‹ How are you today? Despite its 12 Hello there! ๐Ÿ‘‹
How are you today?
Despite its 12-episode format, Spooky in Love has an old-fashioned charm to it. Its tone and aesthetics โ€” its strengths and weaknesses โ€” remind us of the K-dramas of yore, with their blend of romance, comedy, supernatural, and chaebol intrigue. That's what we're discussing together this week, and I really hope you join me! ๐Ÿ˜‰
I must confess that there's much about Spooky in Love that I simply adored โ€” but just because I fell in love with Yeo-ri and Gang-wook's little fairy tale doesn't mean it was an absolutely perfect show.
Our complete review of tvN's Spooky in Love is coming out on The Blossom Review ๐ŸŒธ and YouTube tomorrow! I hope to see you there! Remember that all our links can be found in our bio, okay?

(You know, for me, that's just shocking ๐Ÿ˜… I always wonder if time is flying for everyone or if it's just me!)
Anyway, it's time to talk about new K-dramas. September will be a fairly relaxed month, but we'll see dramas of different genres coming out on different platforms -- so we'll have some good options for everyone! ๐Ÿ‘
If you stop by The Blossom Review ๐ŸŒธ, you'll find our complete calendar of September releases (which we'll be updating throughout the next few weeks). Oh, and over on Substack this week, we reviewed ENA/Genie TV's Dream to You too! Remember that you can find all our links in our bio ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hello, everyone! ๐Ÿ‘‹ How are you all today? We're Hello, everyone! ๐Ÿ‘‹
How are you all today?
We're back to our weekly reviews with Netflix's Our Sticky Love, which came out a couple of weeks ago!
Some call it a "rom-com", but I'm not so sure I agree with that description. Call me a purist, but Our Sticky Love isnโ€™t a proper rom-com. Itโ€™s the latest addition to the โ€œaction-thriller-romantic-comedyโ€ genre, with its mix of kisses and explosions, adorable makeshift dates and intense fighting scenes, yellow umbrellas and torture sequences.
The thing is, what makes Our Sticky Love special isn't its fight choreography or its intense action sequences, but the compassionate interactions between its ensemble cast.
We're talking about Netflix's Our Sticky Love tomorrow on The Blossom Review ๐ŸŒธ and on YouTube. I hope you stop by!
Oh, and over on Substack, we reviewed JTBC's The Apartment Job yesterday. You can find all our links in our bio ๐Ÿ˜‰

Are you alright?
If you didn't see me yesterday, here's a quick recap: This week, I'm taking a break from reviews (I know: Netflix's Our Sticky Love has recently come out. Yes, I'd like to discuss it with you all. But, no, I couldn't review it this week, so we'll be talking about it soon! ๐Ÿฅบ I'm so sorry, everyone! ๐Ÿ™)
Anyway, instead of dramas, we're talking about literature this week! Yaaay! Yesterday, we talked about Japanese books, so today is the day for Korean books, of course! ๐Ÿฅฐ The second half of 2026 has arrived with some incredible new Korean literature in translation, so shall we choose our favourites and fill up our wishlists? Yes, please!
Here are some of the titles I'm looking forward to reading the most -- but you'll find a thorough list with 10+ Korean books coming out from July to December 2026 on The Blossom Review ๐ŸŒธ! I hope you stop by! Remember that you can find all our links in our bio ๐Ÿ˜‰
Have a marvellous weekend ahead! โค๏ธ
