Youth | Thriller | Drama

  • Release date: July 3rd, 2025
  • Network: Wavve (internationally, you can watch it on Viki or Viu)
  • Episodes: 10
  • Main cast: Lee Eun-saem, Ye-ri, and Lee Jong-hyuk
  • Where have I seen these people before? The same cast returns after the success of the first season. Besides their work in Bitch x Rich in 2023, you might have seen Lee Eun-saem in Netflix’s All of Us Are Dead, Ye-ri in Naver’s Blue Birthday, and Lee Jong-hyuk in Our Dating Sim.
  • Writer: Kwak Yeong-im (who has written daily dramas and the 2022 mystery novel Welcome to Royal Town)
  • Directors: Im Dae-woong (from U+Mobile TV’s Night Has Come) and Park Hyung-won (from webdrama Snap and Spark)

Following the events of the first season, Cheongdam International High School now sees its strict hierarchy in crumbles. Between murders, romances, and ferocious power play, what sort of decisions will Hye-in (Lee Eun-saem) and Je-na (Ye-ri) make?

Law and the City

์„œ์ดˆ๋™
Law | Romance

  • Release date: July 5th, 2025
  • Network: tvN (internationally, you can watch it on Disney+ and Viki, depending on the region)
  • Episodes: 12
  • Main cast: Lee Jong-suk, Mun Ga-young, Kang You-seok, Ryu Hye-young, and Im Sung-jae
  • Where have I seen these people before? What a lovely cast! We’re all looking forward to Lee Jong-suk’s return to the small screen. We last saw him in MBC’s hit Big Mouth (but you might also remember him in tvN’s Romance Is a Bonus Book or SBS’s While You Were Sleeping). Mun Ga-young has just finished tvN’s My Dearest Nemesis, while Im Sung-jae has recently starred in Coupang TV’s Newtopia. You might remember Ryu Hye-young in Disney+’s Gangnam B-Side or JTBC’s Law School. Kang You-seok has got to be one of the busiest actors this year: this is his third 2025 drama, after Netflix’s When Life Gives You Tangerines and tvN’s Resident Playbook.
  • Writer: Lee Seung-hyun
  • Director: Park Seung-woo (from tvN’s Adamas and MBC’s Kairos)

At Johwa Law Firm, you’ll find five different lawyers. An Ju-hyeong (Lee Jong-suk) is a senior associate attorney who is extremely competent but doesn’t believe that practising the law has anything to do with justice. Seemingly aloof, he excels at โ€” and enjoys โ€” his job, handling his cases almost mechanically.

He then meets Kang Hui-ji (Mun Ga-young), a warm-hearted and sociable junior associate who believes that changing the life of one individual can change their entire world. Despite their different personalities, they join fellow lawyers Cho Chang-won (Kang You-seok), Bae Mun-jeong (Ryu Hye-young) and Ha Sang-gi (Im Sung-jae) as they face new challenges together. As their friendship grows, their perspectives on their job and the world around them change, too.

S Line

์—์Šค๋ผ์ธ
Fantasy | Thriller

  • Network: Wavve (we’re waiting to hear about international distribution)
  • Episodes: 6
  • Main cast: Lee Soo-hyuk, Lee Da-hee, and A-rin
  • Where have I seen these people before? You might remember Lee Soo-hyuk in TVING’s Queen Woo or MBC’s Tomorrow. Lee Da-hee has just finished tvN’s The Divorce Insurance, while A-rin was last seen in the tvN series Alchemy of Souls.
  • Writer & Director: Ahn Joo-young

The “S line” is an invisible red line that ties people to their sexual partners. For some reason, high-schooler Hyun Heup (A-rin) can see these lines. She seems to be the only person capable of doing so until a mysterious pair of glasses emerges, granting the wearer the ability to see S lines, too. Greed and jealousy start to consume those who come across these glasses, unearthing secrets and bringing chaos. Investigating the trail of crimes left behind by this phenomenon, Detective Han Ji-uk (Lee Soo-hyuk) comes together with Heup to find the culprit.

S Line premiered at the Canneseries (Cannes International Series Festival) this year, where it received the Best Music award.

One day, Gwan-seok receives a proposal to salvage a treasure from a sunken ship in the West Sea. The opportunity seems to good to be true, but he sees in it the chance to make a fortune. As uncle and nephew set sail in search of lost treasures, they meet all sorts of people who also believe this is their one-and-only shot at striking gold.

Lee Sung-kyung led the second and third seasons of SBSโ€™s Doctor Romantic and Disney+โ€™s Call It Love. Park Seok-cheol (Lee Dong-wook) is a kind-hearted man who comes from a long line of gangsters. The show follows him and his first love, the aspiring singer Kang Mi-yeong (Lee Sung-kyung), as he struggles to balance the family business with his own career and love life.

  • Where have I seen these people before? How are you all today?
A few months ago, a beautiful human being on YouTube asked me to review Lemino & WOWOW's Stove League, a Japanese remake of SBS's award-winning Hot Stove League. It took me a while to get to it, but I always keep my promises! ๐Ÿ˜†
So this week, we're talking about Stove League on The Blossom Review ๐ŸŒธ and YouTube! Oh, and over on Substack, we reviewed Tsutsumi Yukihiko's The Hotel of My Dream, too! Remember that you can find all our links in our bio ๐Ÿ˜‰
Have you watched Stove League? What did you think about it?
Have a lovely day today and a fantastic weekend ahead! I'll see you very soon! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Hello there! ๐Ÿ‘‹ How are you all today? Have you h Hello there! ๐Ÿ‘‹
How are you all today?
Have you heard of NHK's My Family? This is a 2023 Japanese drama that came to Netflix a few months ago -- a series so unique, so special, and so beautifully done that I struggled to find the right words to review it.
But I did try anyway, and our complete review of My Family (aka "Kazoku Dakara Aishitan Janakute, Aishita no ga Kazoku Datta") is coming to The Blossom Review ๐ŸŒธ and YouTube tomorrow! ๐Ÿ˜‰
Over on Substack this week, I shared a very grumpy review of Abema's The Vacation Principle ๐Ÿ˜… Oh well, it happens. You can find all links in our bio!
Have you watched My Family or The Vacation Principle? Would you like to watch them in the future?

Hello there! ๐Ÿ‘‹ How are you today? Despite its 12 Hello there! ๐Ÿ‘‹
How are you today?
Despite its 12-episode format, Spooky in Love has an old-fashioned charm to it. Its tone and aesthetics โ€” its strengths and weaknesses โ€” remind us of the K-dramas of yore, with their blend of romance, comedy, supernatural, and chaebol intrigue. That's what we're discussing together this week, and I really hope you join me! ๐Ÿ˜‰
I must confess that there's much about Spooky in Love that I simply adored โ€” but just because I fell in love with Yeo-ri and Gang-wook's little fairy tale doesn't mean it was an absolutely perfect show.
Our complete review of tvN's Spooky in Love is coming out on The Blossom Review ๐ŸŒธ and YouTube tomorrow! I hope to see you there! Remember that all our links can be found in our bio, okay?

Believe it or not, August is about to come to an end ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
(You know, for me, that's just shocking ๐Ÿ˜… I always wonder if time is flying for everyone or if it's just me!)
Anyway, it's time to talk about new K-dramas. September will be a fairly relaxed month, but we'll see dramas of different genres coming out on different platforms -- so we'll have some good options for everyone! ๐Ÿ‘
If you stop by The Blossom Review ๐ŸŒธ, you'll find our complete calendar of September releases (which we'll be updating throughout the next few weeks). Oh, and over on Substack this week, we reviewed ENA/Genie TV's Dream to You too! Remember that you can find all our links in our bio ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hello, everyone! ๐Ÿ‘‹ How are you all today? We're Hello, everyone! ๐Ÿ‘‹
How are you all today?
We're back to our weekly reviews with Netflix's Our Sticky Love, which came out a couple of weeks ago!
Some call it a "rom-com", but I'm not so sure I agree with that description. Call me a purist, but Our Sticky Love isnโ€™t a proper rom-com. Itโ€™s the latest addition to the โ€œaction-thriller-romantic-comedyโ€ genre, with its mix of kisses and explosions, adorable makeshift dates and intense fighting scenes, yellow umbrellas and torture sequences.
The thing is, what makes Our Sticky Love special isn't its fight choreography or its intense action sequences, but the compassionate interactions between its ensemble cast.
We're talking about Netflix's Our Sticky Love tomorrow on The Blossom Review ๐ŸŒธ and on YouTube. I hope you stop by!
Oh, and over on Substack, we reviewed JTBC's The Apartment Job yesterday. You can find all our links in our bio ๐Ÿ˜‰

Are you alright?
If you didn't see me yesterday, here's a quick recap: This week, I'm taking a break from reviews (I know: Netflix's Our Sticky Love has recently come out. Yes, I'd like to discuss it with you all. But, no, I couldn't review it this week, so we'll be talking about it soon! ๐Ÿฅบ I'm so sorry, everyone! ๐Ÿ™)
Anyway, instead of dramas, we're talking about literature this week! Yaaay! Yesterday, we talked about Japanese books, so today is the day for Korean books, of course! ๐Ÿฅฐ The second half of 2026 has arrived with some incredible new Korean literature in translation, so shall we choose our favourites and fill up our wishlists? Yes, please!
Here are some of the titles I'm looking forward to reading the most -- but you'll find a thorough list with 10+ Korean books coming out from July to December 2026 on The Blossom Review ๐ŸŒธ! I hope you stop by! Remember that you can find all our links in our bio ๐Ÿ˜‰
Have a marvellous weekend ahead! โค๏ธ
