11 New Summery K-dramas Out in July 2026!

It seems that we’re having a very busy summer indeed! July arrives with 11 new — and much anticipated — Korean dramas. Whether you’re looking for an intense thriller, a heartwarming romance, a shocking melodrama, or an exhilarating fantasy, I’m sure this month of July has the right K-drama to offer you. • Main cast: Kim Myung-soo (INFINITE’s L) and Kang Min-ah
• Where have I seen these people before? This is Kim Myung-soo’s first K-drama since 2024, when he guest-starred in KBS2’s Perfect Family and led Dare to Love Me alongside Lee Yoo-young. Kang Min-ah had a supporting role in Netflix’s Bloodhounds 2 earlier this year. You might also remember her from ENA/Genie TV’s Gaus Electronics.

Psychological counselling expert Cha Eun-hwan (Kim Myung-soo) is a highly empathetic person who has become extremely famous for his unique counselling methods. After a sudden incident turns his life upside down, he meets Yoo Ji-an (Kang Min-ah), an actress and former girl group member. Ji-an grew up into a cold, aloof adult under her mother’s strict upbringing, and her lack of empathy is now causing problems in her career. This encounter mysteriously leads to an “emotional transference”, in which Eun-hawn and Ji-an start sharing their emotions. Such a strange phenomenon might be exactly what the two of them need to find the answers they’ve been looking for.

• Where have I seen these people before? The Husband marks a reunion for Namkoong Min and Lee Seol, who co-starred in SBS’s Our Movie last year. Before a couple of guest roles in MBC’s Oh My Ghost Clients and tvN’s Resident Playbook, Kim Dae-myung starred in JTBC’s The Art of Negotiation last year (I’m sure you remember him from tvN’s Hospital Playlist, though!). Lee Sang-hee has just had a marvellous guest role in Netflix’s Teach You a Lesson as well as in If Wishes Could Kill.

Neurosurgeon Kang Tae-joo (Namkoong Min) is the director of the prestigious Woorihamgge Hospital and the husband of the hospital’s chairwoman, Go Se-yoon (Lee Seol). The day after Tae-joo asks Se-yoon for a divorce, she’s kidnapped, and he’s framed for the crime. Tae-joo then becomes a fugitive to discover the truth and save his wife before it’s too late.

• Where have I seen these people before? This is Park Se-young’s first drama since tvN’s Mental Coach Jegal in 2022, while Sung Ian hasn’t been seen on the small screen since tvN’s Diary of a Prosecutor in 2019-2020 either. Han Go-eun’s last K-drama was also in 2022, in ENA’s Never Give Up. Im Ji-eun had a supporting role in U+ Mobile TV’s Love Phobia earlier this year, and Yoon Hee-seok was last seen in JTBC’s The Tale of Lady Ok.

Na Ji-ni (Park Se-young) is an aspiring animation writer who dreams of creating a unique Korean animated film that resonates with audiences worldwide. She’s clever, determined, and elegant, but under her neat facade hides a woman with a series of family traumas and wounds who yearns to reclaim her identity and independence.

Meanwhile, Ji-ni’s mother, the former star cellist of the national orchestra Na Se-ri (Han Go-eun), is a proud and ambitious woman who is willing to do anything to protect the flawless public image she created for herself.

Ji-ni and Se-ri then cross paths with singing instructor No Yeong-ju (Im Ji-eun), whose dreams of becoming a musical actress never came true. However, Yeong-ju has decided to live her life with optimism, determined to find her own happiness despite the hurdles that are thrown her way. Together, these three women will have to face their pains, fears, and biases in order to devise a fate they can truly call their own.

• Where have I seen these people before? The great Ji Sung starred in MBC’s The Judge Returns earlier this year and SBS’s Connection a couple of years ago. Meanwhile, Ha Yoon-kyoung was an absolute superstar in tvN’s magnificent Undercover Miss Hong. This is Moon So-ri’s first leading role since Netflix’s extraordinary When Life Gives You Tangerines, while Park Byung-eun was last seen in Netflix’s Dear Hongrang.

Park Hae-gang (Ji Sung), the former boss of the Oasis Gang, decides to become the residents’ association president for his apartment complex. The reason is simple: he needs money, and the association president is the only one with access to the complex’s long-term repair reserve fund — which should be a substantial amount.

However, things don’t go as planned, and Hae-gang soon finds himself involved with aspiring lawyer Kang Ha-ri (Ha Yoon-kyoung). Together, they accidentally uncover a wide web of corruption within the complex, a feat that might just turn Hae-gang into a local hero.

Frustrated and heartbroken, she decided to hide her unfulfilled dreams deep inside her heart and live day by day. That is bound to change when Yi-jae crosses paths with Su-bin once again, an encounter that will stir both of their hearts.

The incredibly talented Cho Seung-woo was last seen in JTBC’s Divorce Attorney Shin in 2023, but you might also remember him from tvN’s excellent Stranger series.

When a strange curse assails the royal palace, the King (Cho Seung-woo) asks for swordsman Gu Cheon’s (Nam Joo-hyuk) and court lady Saeng Gang’s (Roh Yoon-seo) help. While Gu Cheon can move between the realms of the living and the dead and kill evil ghosts with his sword, Saeng Gang can hear ghosts. Together, they will embark on a dark and dangerous journey to find the truth behind the hauntings of the royal family.

Han Gyu-rim (Ahn Hee-yeon) is the kind of person who loves others selflessly and wholeheartedly. When someone is in trouble, she rushes to help, no matter where she is or what she’s doing. When someone is happy, she celebrates their victories as if they are her own. She’s cheerful, persistent, and empathetic, and, because of that, she’s known around the neighbourhood as “Leader Han”. Meanwhile, Kim Mu-jin (Ha Seok-jin) is the owner of an Italian restaurant, where he also works part-time as the responsible chef. Coming from a privileged background, he does his very best to hide his wealth. He then befriends Gyu-rim, who owns a small side dish shop at the local market.

Sung Dong-il has just had a supporting role in JTBC’s impeccable We Are All Trying Here.

With the help of her loyal ally Kim Bong-pal (Sung Dong-il), Bo-na will do whatever it takes to protect her beloved family and bring justice to a very unfair world.
